Woodhart's Transformation of the Ginger Pig is Complete

15th June 2017

Woodhart’s major refurbishment of the Ginger Pig pub and restaurant in Hove is now complete. We created 11 ensuite bedrooms and a stunning private dining orangery room which has expanded the restaurant by 20 covers.

The orangery, which was built over a former courtyard and features wall to wall bifold doors, will be used as a breakfast room for overnight guests. It has a zinc roof, solid slate floors and a distressed-style feature wall.

To create extra space in the upper floors for the guest rooms Woodhart extended the roof of the premises. The bedrooms which were small, 50s style rooms have been opened up to create light, airy spaces with oversize showers and stylish bathrooms.

The Ginger Pig used to be a coaching inn back in the 1750s so the building works bring it back to its former glory. With the addition of the bed and breakfast rooms guest can now extend their stay at the Ginger Pig, spending the day or evening in the restaurant, staying the night and then enjoying breakfast the following day.
