Project overview
This project entailed the major refurbishment and conversion of the iconic Ginger Pig pub and restaurant located in Hove.
The scope of work included the creation of 11 ensuite hotel rooms and the addition of a stunning private dining orangery room, which expanded the restaurant's capacity by 20 covers. The objective was to elevate the establishment to a fine dining and quality interior design venue, blending traditional charm with modern luxury.
Challenges and Solutions:
Minimizing Disruption
Given the pub and restaurant’s ongoing operations, construction was phased and carefully managed to minimize disruption to patrons and staff. This included scheduling noisy work during off-peak hours and maintaining clear communication with the establishment’s management.
Historical Sensitivity
As the Ginger Pig is a historic building, efforts were made to preserve its original features and charm. This involved working closely with conservation experts and using sympathetic restoration techniques.
