The flats at Thakeham Homes, Newhaven, were completed recently.
They’re now ready for Southern Housing to rent them out to the public.
More success and progress in July for both divisions of Woodhart Group, as work continued across a wide range of the company’s residential, private, and commercial projects in Sussex, Hampshire, Kent, and across the South.
Our immense on-site teams continue to impress across new build developments, private residential projects and renovations. See our round-up of project updates below:
This development consisted of private houses, social houses, and flats.
They’re now ready for Southern Housing to rent them out to the public.
This project consisted of the demolition of the existing garage and the erection of a three-storey rear extension. In addition, our team converted the existing period house including the excavation of the basement to provide seven flats and two semi-detached new build homes.
The restoration of this stunning house, whilst changing its occupancy, is truly something special and it’s looking very attractive both inside and out.

Gableson is a three-bedroom newly built detached house that has been carefully designed on a corner plot over three levels. It is a timber frame modern method of construction. The property is well-insulated and warmed through an air source heat pump which makes it energy efficient.
The plot space has also been used to accommodate a driveway with a small lawn at the lounge window. Also included is a patio and garden on the lower floor which both bedrooms can access. This family home is perfect for a family living the city life.

This project comprises 135 plots including 20 apartments and maisonettes.
This was a particularly fantastic achievement as it was across ALL trades.
We’re immensely proud of you, Wayne!
This project consists of five new sustainable council homes on the site of former garages for Adur citizens in need of homes. The cul-de-sac comprises four two-bedroom houses and one accessible bungalow. All the homes are warmed with air-source heat pumps making them energy efficient for the tenants. They also have gardens with water butts & EV charge points.
The name is a tribute to 19th-century architect Amon Henry Wilds. He designed Regency homes in Brighton but lived and died in Shoreham.

This time, a big well done to our supervisor, Garry Blackman, who won contractor of the month for Woodhart Group at Vistry Homes, phase B1a at Hounsome Fields in Basingstoke.
Great work, Garry!
This project consists of 90 plots in total.
Here’s the staircase install nearing completion and giving a taste of what’s to come!
The first few plots of main roofs have been going up on this 200+ unit development.
We took the opportunity to get the Woodhart Group team together in the meeting room for a full safety briefing covering various topics. It was great to have a good open discussion with everybody!
Check out these pictures from the Vistry Homes site in Basingstoke!
This is phase B1a. We have a total of three phases running there currently with over 300 traditional build houses and apartments.
