Job summary:
Established in 2006, Woodhart Carpentry Ltd successfully provides carpentry services to the UK’s largest main contractor house builders across East and West Sussex, Surrey, London, Kent and Hampshire.
We are currently seeking an experienced Surveyor to join our Carpentry division based at our Head Office in Portslade.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Negotiating with Main Contractors to ensure work is secured whilst maintaining maximum margins.
- Responsible for the receipt of tenders, analysis and breakdown into elements for pricing.
- Chasing leads with the aim of converting into secured projects.
- Carry out take-offs, estimates and assessing rates for labour and materials for contracts.
- Maintain communication with Main Contractor Surveyors to monitor and report on progress of tenders and submitted bids.
- Identify variations, calculate and present pricing to the Main Contractor Surveyor as necessary.
- Attendance at site meetings as required to support project management.
- Monthly valuations.
- Organise and file contract figures, variations and omits.
- Strong sales ability.
- Client facing.
- Proficient I.T skills, multi-tasking, emails and communication.
- Some practical experience with a possible trade background is desirable as well as previous Sub Contractor experience.
